HAYCO

丁寧に美しさと面白さを追求

ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー Hayco is an artist from Hong Kong currently based in Japan. Exploring the possibilities of realism, he continues to pursue painting and research in his daily practice. From an early age, he developed an interest in both painting and Japanese culture, and began studying Japanese in high school. He later majored in fine arts at university, focusing on realistic painting techniques, primarily in oil. Hayco specializes in realistic depictions of fish and food. His works are characterized by clean compositions with white backgrounds, presenting a sense of clarity and precision. Within this simple and meticulous beauty, subtle elements of playfulness are often included. Through his work, he hopes to share the appeal of realistic painting with a wide audience. The artist he admires most is Leonardo da Vinci. Hayco is deeply inspired by da Vinci’s extraordinary technical mastery, wide-ranging talents that bridged art and science, and his rigorous approach to observation.
